flights to Tenerife and flight arrivals at Tenerife Reina
Sofia. The new low cost carriers and the increased
flexibility of the charter airlines means that getting a
cheap flight to Tenerife is easier than ever. It is also
much easier to get a flight one way Tenerife to London or
most UK airports and to Tenerife. The busiest period for
flights to Tenerife is for Christmas and New Year. It is
also just as hard to get New Year Tenerife flights for a
week.

Los Rodeos Airport - Tenerife North
Airport
Tenerife North Airport, which is called Los Rodeos Airport
(IATA Code = TFN) and is located eleven kilometres from Santa
Cruz. This airport is used more for internal flights whilst the
airport in the South is more for International flights to
Tenerife. The main route is flights from Gran Canaria to
Tenerife North with approximately forty flights per day. The
busiest route is to Madrid on mainland Spain. In 2002 a new
terminal building opened and also has new car parking
facilities, motorway access ramp and a 4 storey terminal
building. The airport handles over four million passengers a
year.
Reina Sofía Airport - Tenerife South

serving southern Tenerife is just over seventy kilometres by
road from Los Rodeos Airportin the north of the island. There
is a public bus service operated by TITSA which offers services
all around the island. The airport was opened in 1978 by Queen
Sofia of Spain to whom the airport was dedicated
to.
